Quick elegibility check:

✅ Sector: Are you in agriculture or tourism
✅ Operational Duration: Has your business operated for ≥1 year
✅ Ownership: Is your business women, youth, indigenous, or migrant-led

  • Agriculture-Specific:
    Individual farmers: Do you have 0.5–20 acres and grow priority crops (registered in BAIMS)?
    MSMEs: Are you seeking funds for climate-smart practices (e.g., irrigation, agroforestry)

  • Tourism-Specific:
    Does your business have ≥51% Belizean ownership (or 25% for lodging with 51% Belizean staff)?
    Are you focused on eco-tourism, cultural preservation, or agro-tourism?

The Sustainable and Inclusive Belize (SAIB) program aims to foster equitable economic growth in Belize by empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and farmers in the agriculture and tourism sectors through financial grants, technical support, and capacity-building initiatives.

Our objectives include addressing competitiveness, sustainability and resilience entrepreneurship barriers in the tourism and agricultural sector.

SAIB prioritizes inclusivity by targeting women, youth, indigenous, and migrant-led businesses, with specific targets like supporting 1,500 individual farmers, 40 agricultural MSMEs, and 200 tourism grants.

The program also seeks to strengthen Belize’s national branding as a leader in sustainable agriculture and eco-tourism while preserving cultural heritage and environmental resources for long-term, inclusive prosperity.
